Discovery of a New Cave on a Tropical Island /// Trinidad and Tobago

In November 2022 we bushwhacked into the mountainous jungle of Trinidad and Tobago and found a remarkable cave with oilbirds inside. We had to turn around without completing exploration due to a lack of ropes and vertical gear, but the cave has enrmous passage with an underground stream and a theoretical depth potential as high as 500 meters! Beware of poisonous snakes, giant wasps and ultra sharp plants. More caves are out there!
