Why Stoick Is SUCH A Great Character!

I think it’s fair to say that How To Train Your Dragon has a LOT of great characters on offer. I’ve made a few videos on this subject before, discussing Hiccup and Gobber. However, I now want to go for the character that I think almost everyone loves. Stoick the Vast. It’s unusual I think for a fanbase to love a parent that kind of got a lot wrong with their kid in the first place, but that’s the beauty of Dreamworks’ writing. You peel back the layers and realise not everything is as it seems, and you discover just how great these people really are. At least, that’s been my reaction to Stoick, so today I just want to gush about this man and why in my eyes, he’s one of the best characters Dreamworks has ever written.
