Join us on our Azerbaijan road trip as we begin our journey toward the majestic Shahdag mountains! We checked out from Auroom Hotel in Baku around 12:30 PM and hit the road with excitement in the air. Along the way, we were mesmerized by scenic views — trains passing by, giant windmills spinning, and small cities with unique charm. We made a quick stop at a local bazaar where friendly locals were grilling BBQ — we couldn’t resist grabbing some snacks before continuing our adventure. Our next destination was Quba. Once there, we began hunting for the perfect hotel to spend the night. First, we visited Arena Grand Hotel and were surprised to find a massive Olympic-sized swimming pool. To compare, we also checked out Macara Village Resort, which had cozy rooms and stunning mountain vibes. Despite both options being appealing, we made a spontaneous decision to continue our road trip toward Shahdag. That decision turned out to be magical. Upon arriving in Shahdag, we booked our stay at Shahdag Spa & Resort — and it completely blew us away. The weather was dreamy, the mountain views were surreal, and to top it all off, we discovered a mountain coaster **right in front of our hotel room**. What a perfect ending to a day full of surprises!
