The Skyrim Modlist Gold Standard? | Nolvus v6.0.20 Ultra Review

Nolvus v6 is one of the most ambitious Skyrim modlists ever created — combining Cabbage ENB visuals, LOTD integration, full combat reworks, and large-scale world overhauls into a 573GB next-gen experience. In this Skyrim Marathon review, we put Nolvus through a two-hour uninterrupted stress test to see if the hype holds up in real gameplay. This run puts sustained pressure on: • Performance and stability • Overworld traversal and LODs • Combat feel and balance • UI clarity • Visual consistency ________________________________________ 🔧 Modlist Details Modlist: Nolvus V6 Author: vektor9999 Version: 6.0.20 Total Size: 573 GB Install Size: 385 GB Downloads: 188 GB Last Updated: January 27th, 2026 ________________________________________ 🖥 PC Specs Used CPU: Ryzen 9700X GPU: Sapphire Pulse AMD 9070 XT (16GB) RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 Storage: 2TB Crucial P3 Plus ________________________________________ ⏱ Chapters – Skyrim Marathon Run 00:00 – Introduction 01:44 – Character Creation 20:59 – Winterhold 34:17 – Zombie Bear Battle?! 1:12:47 – Fort Greenwall Battle 1:21:56 – Riften 1:28:30 – Bandit Fort Battle 1:53:49 – Valtheim Tower Battle 1:58:19 – Necromancer Battle 2:03:48 – Whiterun Exterior – Quickloot Fail 2:07:08 – Whiterun 2:17:37 – Riverwood 2:44:54 – Markarth 2:49:16 – Outro/Verdict ________________________________________ 📊 Scoring Criteria Each modlist is scored from 1–5 across five categories: • ⚙ Performance • ⚔ Combat • 🖥 UI • 🌄 Visuals • 🧱 Stability The final score answers one question: Is this modlist worth committing hundreds of hours to — or should you move on? ________________________________________ Modlist Author Q&A(vektor) Q : *What experience are you trying to build with this modlist?* A : My favorite action rpgs are the souls game and the witcher 3, i tried to recreate the combat design from these games, making Nolvus combat more dynamic and fast paced. I always felt that skyrim third person combat is boring and lacking lot of things (lock on system, combos and stylish animations to say the least). Regarding graphics, Skyrim is pretty old (+15 years) and if i have to play Skyrim in 2026, it's not to play a game with 2011 graphics, therefore Nolvus is hardly focused on graphics as well. This is why Nolvus is pretty heavy on some computers (specially for the Ultimate variant), but the redux variant at 1080p can be played with a GTX 1080 at 40FPS (some even said they managed to run the integrated fragmen gen with that card boosting their fps above 60). I also wanted to bring lot of content on the table even if some are not 100% lore friendly. A lore friendly variant of v6 is planned (i hope this year) though. With the design of my own auto installer, i also wanted to give lot of different options to the users like fantasy combat vs more grounded to the lore combat animations, different ui choices, different difficulty presets and many more... I always try to make Nolvus a pioneer in lot of domains, Nolvus was the first mod list that uses stances, first using seasons, first using Open cities (optional), first using a custom enemy scaling system based on level multiplier. Finally Nolvus uses lot of personal customizations and own made mods mashup for cities (some cities have 5 mods mixed together), flora (the nolvus grass and trees mashup combine 7 tree mods and 7 grass mods) among other things to make it very unique. Q : *What design philosophy guides your decisions when developing it?* A : I always try to stay close to the Nolvus DNA (described in point 1) to please my community while pleasing myself and always bring what Nolvus fans want, Nolvus is community based and i take lot of community's suggestions into account (if they fit the Nolvus DNA ofc) Q : *Why should someone choose your list over other large Skyrim overhauls?* A : They are lists for every tastes but i would recommend Nolvus to all souls fans, for those who like dynamic, fast and stylish combats with lot of content and worlds to explore while having beautifull graphics. ________________________________________ 🔗 Links • Modlist Page: https://www.nolvus.net/ • YouTube Page:    / @thevektor2012
