Honestly, without the teenage elitist “god gamer” complex, fairy tales, and other empty words, this is the hardest single-player achievement I have ever completed since I started playing video games 30 years ago. And after doing my research, Absolute Radiance on Radiant difficulty might be one of the top 3 to 5 hardest single-player boss fights in gaming history. When you challenge her Radiant version for the first time, she can feel totally unfair, random, and broken, even for players with max overall game completion at 112%, and almost every other boss fight and Pantheon under their belt. At that point, these are not casual players who have never played the Godmaster DLC, but highly skilled ones. Radiant AbsRad, on average, takes more time to defeat than the whole main game of Hollow Knight, and yet, even after trying for days, many players never succeed. Wait, hold on… We have mentioned only one out of 44 Radiant bosses. But what about the others? Markoth… Who can even think about difficulty and unfair boss design without mentioning Radiant Markoth? The boss many consider even harder than AbsRad. He’s not, in my opinion, but he is still stupidly hard. Then Grey Prince Zote, probably the most random one. What about Pure Vessel and Nightmare King Grimm? I consider them fair and intuitive, but still among the hardest. And many bosses can feel subjectively too hard for certain players. So, without painting a rosy picture, I would say this achievement is 10/10 on the difficulty scale.
