Bodrum Türkiye Vlog 🇹🇷 | A Muslim Traveler’s First Time in Turkey’s Luxury Coastal City In today’s Bodrum vlog, I explored the real side of Turkey’s most luxurious coastal town — far away from the clubs and tourist crowds. As a British Muslim traveling across Türkiye, I wanted to see if Bodrum is a good place for Muslims to visit, whether you're looking for halal food, peaceful beaches, or just something a bit more authentic. I started the day early, walking through the quiet streets of Bodrum before the city fully woke up. It used to be an old fishing village, and you can still feel that charm — the old men were already in the sea enjoying their morning swim, the boats were lined up beautifully, and the sunrise over the water was something else. After walking the coastal strip, I passed Bodrum Castle and the fishing docks before heading back to my hotel (Atrium Hotel — £80/night with a pool and breakfast included). I gave a full hotel tour before changing into my swimming gear and heading to the sea for my own morning swim. It was peaceful, refreshing, and felt so different from the usual chaotic beach town vibe. Later in the day, I walked past a few tourists passed out drunk in the streets — something that made me reflect on how different travel can be when done with purpose. I then met some young Turkish kids near a mosque who hilariously taught me a Turkish word I probably shouldn’t repeat — classic travel memories 😂. After praying, I stopped by a luxury replica store to check out the prices, and yes — they were high, but the quality was seriously impressive. We then tried to visit Bodrum Castle, but the entry price was £23 — more expensive than the Eiffel Tower! So instead, we sat by the sea and enjoyed a pizza while talking about the value of budget travel, longevity, and experiencing the heart of a place instead of rushing through it with money.
