An Army Medic in South Vietnam, 1969-1970

Larry Butcher served as an Army medic in South Vietnam, 1969-1970. Raised in a strict Seventh-Day Adventist home, family members encouraged him to dodge the draft. But he felt obligated to serve. As a conscientious objector, he never used a weapon in combat. He shares memories from the war. After the discussion, soldiers he knew who died in combat are remembered. Mr. Butcher served with Delta Company, 2nd battalion, 14th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division.
