Car Stuck in Park - Updated Repair Video | Fixed for good!

So here is the requested / updated video where the broken item actually gets replaced. Here's what happened: A few years back I was going to leave with my sons car and the shifter was stuck in park. After a short google I took the shifter apart just to find a broken plastic piece inside of it. I removed it and voila, everything worked. The problem, the safety feature that won't let you shift into gear when not stepping on the brake pedal is now disabled. The car is being driven by my son and he is very aware of what is going on here. I've gotten some flack from some viewers as the repair was not done correctly. Some mechanics actually have gotten customers showing them my video to replicate it for cheap. PEOPLE!!! You cannot do that. A repair shop may actually get in trouble if you hurt someone.
