RECORD HAYMOWING 2025. Almost 600 rolls in 11 days! There has never been so much hay! Friends, hello to all! Our names are Olya and Vova, we live in the Perm region, we have a house and our own farm in the village for breeding Aberdeen Angus cows. We share our village news with you. And we are done! Can you imagine?! We finished the main haymowing on July 17! From July 6 to 17, we managed to prepare 574 rolls of hay. It was a very fast haymowing! Vova managed to roll the last roll of hay 2 hours before the rain. We went right along the edge, so to speak, we just made it! Many farmers have had a difficult haymaking this year and we understand them, the weather has not been kind to us this summer: some have endless rains, like we had, and some have drought and no grass. We ourselves no longer believed that the rain would ever stop and were preparing for the fact that the hay would be of poor quality and there would be little of it. But we managed to outwit the weather a little and snatch an extra 3 days, thanks to which we finished the haymaking on time. How it was: watch the video. We still have oat haymaking ahead, 7 hectares of oats have not yet grown for haymaking, we hope that the weather will allow them to be harvested on time.
