Breeding Clown Killifish in My New Aquarium, While it is Also Being Cycled For Caridina Shrimp!

this is my current setup in a new ad a style rimless low iron Aquarium. I have added Brightwell 3 mm soil substrate that is made from volcanic ash and clay, this should bring the PH down into the low 6 range. the ultimate plan in this tank, is to house caradhina, and neocaridina shrimp sent from flip Aquatics. I can't wait to team up with Rob and his crew at flip. In the coming months I hope to get a hold of caridina species of dwarf shrimp from Rob and possibly other local shrimp breeders. Morphs and species such as King Kongs, galaxies, pintos, Crystal Reds and blacks, and Taiwan bees! In this video I also discuss the way I have jump started, or " fast cycled" my fish tank, by adding mature beneficial bacteria and sponge filter media, as well as actual tank water and aquatic plants. Meanwhile, in the next week or so, I hope to breed these two clown killifish, also known as rocket killifish by some. These are a great beginner killifish, and are fairly hearty, and easy to care for. My hope is to jump start their egg scattering and then move them from the shrimp tank, back to their colony. Seeing as though their fry are so small, they will certainly get eaten, if allowed to remain with any size fish. Enjoy the new setup and let me know if you think i should keep the 3 blue dream neocardinia shrimp in the tank when the real stars of the show arrive. peace.   / somainkdesigns
