R68/R68A (G) Train Action at Broadway & 15 Street-Prospect Park

With multiple R160s being taken OOS at Jamaica Yard for repairs due to flat wheels (previously has been thought to be caused by a track defect along the F line in the 63 Street tubes and later corrected by the MTA President to be a track defect near Queens Plaza on the E, M and R lines but the actual cause was just Jamaica yard maintenance crews being lazy in an effort to try and receive new fleet which ultimately failed); the G line was forced to revert back to using R46s, R68s and R68As as its fleet for the time being while repairs are made to the R160 fleet. This is the first time since 2021 that SMEE type fleet has ran in service on the G bringing back a lot of nostalgia to most railfans. Since March 2025 the R211T Open Gangway trains have made their debut to the G line and in May 2025 the standard R211A versions had also made their way to the G which is now 100% R211A/T. Now going back to the time these videos were taken in January 2025, the G was only R68 and R68A with 1 remaining R160 running on the line.
