TRUE WORSHIP

What is true worship? Many people associate worship with songs, music, and gatherings. Yet in Scripture, worship is revealed as something much deeper—it is wholehearted surrender, trust, obedience, and faith in God, even when His commands challenge our understanding. In Genesis 22, Abraham demonstrates true worship when he obeys God’s command to offer Isaac, the very son through whom God’s promises were to be fulfilled. As Abraham approached Mount Moriah, he said: “The lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.” — Genesis 22:5 (NKJV) Abraham’s worship was not merely words or songs; it was faith expressed through obedience. He trusted that God would remain faithful to His promises, even believing that God was able to raise Isaac from the dead. 📖 Key Scriptures: • Genesis 22:3–6 • Hebrews 11:17–19 In this message, we discover: • The biblical meaning of true worship • Worship as surrender and obedience to God • Faith that trusts God’s promises above circumstances • The cost of genuine devotion • How worship glorifies God and transforms our hearts True worship is not centered on our feelings but on God’s worthiness.
