10 things you should know about Samsung The Frame TV Update! This video now has a followup to answer questions and to show some demos I couldn't show in this video...it talks about my experiences with it 8 months later, and you can find it here:    • Samsung the Frame Followup - 8 months late...   This isn't a review, but rather, a video talking about 10 things that I learned about a tv called 'The Frame' after I bought it that I wish I'd known. I read a lot of reviews, browsed the Samsung site, and researched it and I didn't see many of these mentioned. Some are things to know about mounting it, and some are just features that aren't talked about that surprised me. Some are just cool tech things that I wasn't aware of that show some of the smart things TVs are doing these days (like motion detection to turn on/off). I think in the end if I get the home automation aspects of this TV hooked up, it'll be quite a fun screen to do some projects around. In the meantime this goes along with my theme/trend lately of showing and working with technology that disguises itself as something non technical. The Voronoi Lamp for instance looks like 'just a lamp', and the Magic Mirrors of course are meant to look like just mirrors. My home automation light switches don't look special but can do quite a few things...I may show those next. And of course we have home assistants that look either like simple speakers/pucks or small screens that are capable of a wide variety of uses. Even my Ecobee thermostat which looks like a small display also functions as an Amazon echo now. Thank you for all of the support! I should have some fun geeky projects coming soon.
