Combined with revised rear suspension geometry, this makes for a very stable sensation on a winding road e-SKYACTIV PHEV • In normal mode, when there is sufficient SOC, the PHEV will prioritize using EV propulsion only depending on the situation and conditions. • When SOC is below 20%, the PHEV will keep the gas engine on to charge the battery to ensure that EV assist is always available. EV MODE Selected through Mi-Drive, EV operation is prioritized as the battery is drawn deeper and faster by using the electric motor more than in normal mode • The gas engine can turn on in EV mode when the accelerator pedal reaches the kick down switch; this puts CX-90 back into Normal mode and offers greater acceleration. EV PRIORITY A setting enabled in the HMI that tells CX-90 to use EV Mode on startup CHARGE MODE Activated by a button on the center console. This mode will keep the gas engine engaged and prioritize charging the PHEV battery. This can fully charge the battery using the engine as a generator.
