Everyone is afraid here! Palestinian Refugee Camp (Lebanon) #95 Greetings everyone. In this video, we will be guests of one of the refugee camps in Lebanon. Shatila and Sabra refugee camp, known as the Palestinian refugee camp, is a huge neighborhood in the heart of Beirut and it would not be wrong to say that the people here are the people who have experienced the Lebanese economic crisis most deeply. No electricity, no clean drinking water, no jobs, no money... Shatila and Sabra refugee camp is a camp that experienced a great massacre during the Lebanese Civil War. About 3,000 innocent people were murdered here. Today, there are people of many nationalities in this mostly Palestinian neighborhood. The living conditions here are beyond expectations. People live in very bad conditions, in poverty. Unfortunately, it's not easy to shoot videos here and talk to people and ask for their opinions. I wanted to show you the situation here as best I could. Although I am generally warmly welcomed by people while visiting here, some political-armed organizations do not welcome visitors from outside. I had my share of this, and while I was visiting this camp, I was interrogated by an organization. All the photos I took were deleted. But I was able to recover the footage because they didn't see my camera. And I can share this video with you. You may feel that I was a little nervous while shooting the video; because I had to be careful while shooting videos in some places. That's why, although it is not the video I wanted, I am happy to present this work to you and show you the conditions under which the people here live. In many parts of the world, people live in conditions they do not deserve. I am of the opinion that these should be known and I will take care to go to such places and make videos in the regions I visit. I hope this unfair system will come to an end one day.
