Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003 Special Test | Alert & Undulating Hi-Lo | Bement, IL | 8/6/24

Emerson and I had been planning this since December of last year, and this was quite the treat once we got the green light from the fire chief to pull this off. I brought along MOX, Iso and Blue Bolt in my car and Drew (the Iowa one) brought Zion in his, and I would also meet Jared, Evan and Drew (the Indiana one). Tones flew through right on the dot at 10, this Thunderbolt was very impressive and I could really feel it rumble my chest. After the alert signal ended, Emerson rushed to the fire department garage and activated three cycles of undulating hi-lo as anticipated. It was a little bit goofy but alas, it was for a very special occasion. After the test wrapped up and the non-enthusiasts dispersed, we photographed the rest of Bement’s sirens and went out to the Lucky Monkey Pub & Grub for lunch. This was definitely an experience for the books for me, I hope to be back here at some point to nab a recording of either the 4/5 1000T or the Vortex in the center of town. Anyways, enjoy the video.
