Set roughly 30 years after the destruction of Raccoon City, the game expands the Resident Evil timeline while connecting to past events and characters. Gameplay shifts between Grace and Leon, offering two distinct styles. Grace’s sections focus on survival horror similar to Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and Resident Evil Village. Leon’s missions emphasize action, similar to Resident Evil 4. This marks Leon’s first major appearance since Resident Evil 6, and he has been redesigned to reflect an older, more experienced agent.
