We departed Otaru Port in the highest-class deluxe room on the Soreiyu, which has been transferred from Tokyo Kyushu Ferry (Pacific Ocean route) to Shin Nihonkai Ferry (Japan Sea route) for a limited time (?). Our destination was Maizuru Port in Kyoto Prefecture. The arrival was delayed by 1 hour and 15 minutes due to rough sea conditions, but for a ferry lover like me, this was a stroke of luck. On board, we did only three things: eat, sleep, and drink, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ultimate lazy, luxurious long-distance ferry trip.
