Where should I go on a family vacation with three children in France? Why not camping with a tent? We thought so too and chose a campsite on a stunning lake in the south of France – Lac Sainte-Croix, Verdon. The campsite is called Le Vieux Chêne, or The Old Oak, because the entire campsite is completely planted with oak trees, making it truly beautiful. We spent two days here and think we'll be back. The azure, warm lake water and the picturesque mountains surrounding this place completely captivated us and made us fall in love with it forever. Furthermore, camping with children is a wonderful experience for the children themselves. They easily make friends thanks to the open space, making the vacation even more enjoyable. They also wash their own dishes, clean up the area around the tent, and take care of nature. The cost of two days at this campsite was 80 euros, based on the number of campers, vehicle, tent, and electricity. It's relatively inexpensive compared to hotel and guesthouse prices. Plus, it's a completely different experience, far more exciting and memorable than spending the night in a hotel room.
