Beginner, easy ride and route - Peak District.

Join me for a ride through the Peak District National Park, on an anticlockwise route of about 100 miles. Easy lanes throughout. Ideal for a relaxed ride on some iconic green lanes and suitable for those riders still finding their confidence. I'm out with four relatively inexperienced riders and my mate Chris playing tail-end charlie. If you fancy riding the route, then please be aware that the Fernilee Reservoir route should only be accessed from the Goyt Valley side. It would take you approximately 6 hours with a lunch break. I’m riding my Yamaha Tenere 700, which has had a few more tweaks over the winter, including further suspension mods. Initially, the switch to World Raid suspension made the bike way better suited to green lanes. However, it made the bike a little tall. I've managed to reduce the seat height, thanks to some changed suspension linkages, keeping the superior suspension of the World Raid, and raised the bar again. The bike seems more compliant, soaks up rocky trails and fast-flowing backroads indicative of the Peak District trails, but more importantly, allows me to put my feet down easily.
