Forage harvesting, specifically mowing Sudan grass, is being done with a Massey Ferguson 6713 tractor and a Kverneland Taarup 4332 LR trailed rotary mower at Severnaya Niva Bashkiria LLC! This unit mows approximately 30 hectares of grass per shift, consuming approximately 100 liters of diesel fuel. The tractor is equipped with a Trimble hydraulic steering system, so the operator only steers the tractor when turning at the end of the field. Work is carried out 24 hours a day, in two shifts. The Kverneland Taarup 4332 LR trailed rotary mower has a working width of 3.16 m. It is equipped with a conditioning unit with chevron rubber rollers, which allows the mown grass to dry faster, after which it is collected and chopped by forage harvesters. The tractor required to operate the mower requires at least 80 hp. Several grass-cutting units are simultaneously working in the field, including another Massey Ferguson 6713 tractor with a ZhVZ-7 trailed header—there will be a separate video about it!
