This was an incredibly sensitive time for me. I was juggling several incredibly difficult and complex personal matters at the same time. In hindsight (over a decade later), I think the 'tism probably had a major impact on the difficulties of this time too. Yet I was unaware of it at the time. Creative disclosure Let's be real though, AI is doing the musical heavy lifting with these. Why? Because I just want to hear my human poetry as music. You can read more about the process I take here: shaypbops.substack.com/p/the-process-behind-my-songs =============================== Album background I think I've passed the threshold where these things feel completely private so 'Odyssey' contains poetry spanning events in my life from 2013 to 2015. Most of it is from 2015 and collectively it describes chapters where I completely changed my worldview from atheist to Christian. An underlying theme (as is often the case with my writings) also touches the challenges that come from integrating into a community when neurodiverse.
