CAREGIVER IN CANADA UPDATE, ONLY 1 YEAR WORK IS REQUIRED TO BE PERMANENT RESIDENT #canada #canadaimmigration #lifeincanada ‪@menchiesfil-canlife5450‬ Hello everyone, in this video, I am featuring the newly announced changes in the work requirement for caregivers in Canada under the Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot Program. This change is about cutting into half the 24 months or 2 years Canadian Work Experience requirement . This means that it will only be 12 months or 1 year . This will take effect on April 30, 2023. And this is applicable to those who have already applied earlier. This is a welcome news and a motivating factor to Filipino caregivers, however, the caregiver spots for for this program remains not enough as many applicants were not able to get through the short time of uploading applications because it was already filled up for a few hours. In this video, I also gave some information on the eligibility criteria of the program which are the following: 1. Education - 1 year post secondary Canadian education equivalency or at least 3rd year college in the Philippines. 2. Language Proficiency - IELTS or CELPIP with CLB 5 score 3. Job offer 4, Ability to perform the job - show Certificate of Employment, pay stubs, training certificate 5. Admissibility - show police clearance and medical exam 6. 12 months or 1 year of Canadian qualifying work experience for direct OR application Other pathways for caregivers: 1. Temporary Foreign Worker Program with LMIA at Quebec Province 2. Saskatchewan Hard-to-fill Skills (PNP) 3.Saskatchewan Healthcare Expression of Interest 4. Nova Scotia Occupation In Demand (PNP) 5.
