2025 Birding Adventures - Finding Amazing August Birds in Ohio - August recap
August brings around more shorebirds, including a piping plover, a willet, and a red knot. I also find more uncommon bird species making august a truly exciting month. It was a game of hide and seek to see if I can find my target birds to help me reach my new goal of 200 Ohio bird species. I visit the Mentor Marsh, Headlands beach, Headlands Dunes State Nature Preserve, Wildwood Park and Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. Follow along on my 2025 northeast Ohio birding adventures.
