Blanca Fernández Ochoa hallada muerta en la sierra de Madrid

The body was found by an off-duty Civil Guard sergeant and his dog on the fourth day of the search deployed in the Cercedilla area to look for the former Olympic medalist, who has been missing since August 24 and whose car was found last Sunday in the Las Dehesas parking lot, two hours from where the body was found. Other sources told EFE that a citizen alerted investigators that he had seen Blanca, who was not wearing a backpack and was heading towards the peak of La Peñota. Police experts from the Homicide and Scientific Units were dispatched to the scene, while Blanca's sister accompanied the Civil Guard to the site where the body was found for examination. In addition, several of the skier's relatives have come to the search force's command post.
