Back to 2015, to one of the most special places on our journey: Varanasi, on the banks of the holy Ganges. In this video, we take a boat ride during a rainy sunset and witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony. The Ganga Aarti is a daily ritual dedicated to the goddess Ganga (Maa Ganga), the personification of the Ganges River in Hinduism. She's worshipped as a life-giving, purifying mother goddess. Priests perform a ceremony with fire, incense, and chanting along the riverbanks — an experience you won't easily forget.
