COMO A JUVENTUDE FOI DO PUNK AO CONSERVADORISMO?

What happened to the youth? How did a movement that shouted against the system, consumerism, and social norms give way to a generation increasingly aligned with conservatism and traditional aesthetics of life and values? In this video, I analyze the symbolic and cultural transition from punk, as an aesthetic, political, and behavioral movement, to the current return of conservatism among young people, connecting fashion, behavior, and historical context. Starting with fashion, which is never just about clothes, we trace a timeline showing how: Punk aesthetics emerged as a response to the economic crisis, unemployment, and the failure of the system's promises; The young body transformed into a space for protest, rupture, and confrontation; And how, decades later, conservatism reappears as a language of security, stability, and identity in a world marked by instability, overexposure, and fear of the future. This is not a video about nostalgia or generational judgment. This is a reflection on how youth responds to the crises of their time, and why punk and conservatism, despite being opposites, are born from very similar anxieties.
