Go is a strategic board game for two players where the goal is to encircle the largest possible territory. At the end of the game, the size of the territories and the number of captured stones are compared by each player. The objective is not to completely eliminate the opponent, but rather to gain a larger share of the territory. The game originated in China and is now played by approximately 40 to 60 million people.
