#22 Gerard Gordeau - Route 64 Podcast

Route 64 – Episode 22 Gerard Gordeau Next to me on this ride is Gerard Gordeau. A former karateka and savate practitioner from The Hague, known as a pioneer of mixed martial arts in the Netherlands and worldwide. Gerard began his career in karate and savate, after which he further developed his talent and discipline in professional martial arts. On November 12, 1993, he stepped into the ring as a European at the very first UFC tournament, where he fought Teila Tuli in a history-making match. After his active martial arts career, Gerard remained involved in the sport, as a mentor and trainer for young fighters, passing on his knowledge of technique, discipline, and mental strength. Today, Gerard also dedicates himself to the memory of a good friend and comrade, who once shared martial arts and challenges with him, but passed away too early. Not for recognition. But because some missions—in the ring or outside—continue, even if someone falls. 🚗 Get in. This is Route 64 – Episode 24: Gerard Gordeau. Quiet. Determined. On a mission. ⸻ 🔔 Want more of this?
