Foggy Hike At Carding Mill Valley, Haddon Hill / Waterfall
We really enjoyed this outing, hiking was difficult in parts of the terrain and very foggy all the way up, making poor visibility which was not in the plan, I relied on a downloaded map on my phone and would always recommend , either that or a paper map. I filmed on my Gopro 12 Dji wireless microphone set of 2 ..... but the batteries started to fail when we reached near the top, unfortunately I had no sound on some nice moments with the wild ponies, I had a massive headache trying to match the sound from the microphones to the raw Gopro sound, lesson is always check the charging.. I was really pleased with the picture footage and the stability, I seem to have the Gopro on good settings, the winter colours were amazing , I would like to see how the next video is with the wide lens, it might be more cinematic for these types of areas. I have not uploaded any videos for a while due to having pneumonia just before christmas, so this hike was a massive challenge for me, I had to rest a few times on the way up, hopefully I won't get out of breath so much after a few outings. I hope you enjoyed the video, thank you for watching. Please Like, subscribe, share and leave a comment, I appreciate your support. Information about this location; Carding Mill Valley, part of the Long Mynd in the Shropshire Hills, is a popular National Trust area known for its stunning scenery, waterfalls (like Lightspout), and diverse trails for hiking, walking, cycling, and wildlife spotting (including wild ponies and birds). The valley offers facilities like a tearoom, toilets, and parking at the base, serving as a gateway to challenging climbs up Haddon Hill and other moorland paths with panoramic views over Shropshire and Wales. Expect varied terrain, including steep ascents, muddy sections after rain, and potential livestock (sheep/ponies), requiring good footwear and leads for dogs. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visi...
