A look at Namor The Sub-Mariner (1966)
Please support my patreon / tedfufu Namor's a weird character Marvel has. He never really fit in with the Silver Age despite being one of the characters that allowed the company to survive into the 60s. They also took some themes from him and expanded on it with other characters: T'Challa is a noble prince himself, The Hulk shares Namor's antipathy for humanity, Tony Stark is as pompous and arrogant if not more so, Thor has one foot in two clashing worlds. And yet he's rarely touched and it seems that Marvel just didn't know what to do with him and ended up flanderizing him like hell with his lust for Sue Storm. I wonder if they'll try to pull a Namor movie since Aquaman was a surprise box office smash even if they'll be accused of copying DC with the character even though Namor came first. If anyone can recommend me some good comic runs with the character please, let me know. I always love a good read.
