Black and White Oil Painting Demo
In this demo I'll show you how to create a simple still life oil painting, without color, from observation. Goals: to match values and create a realistic image from observation. This project is great for beginners, artists who are new to oil paint, and for teachers who are looking for a good step-by-step approach to show their students. Materials used: 11x14'' Canvas panel, #4 Flat Opal Synthetic Hog Bristle by Trekell, Refined Linseed Oil by Gamblin, Gamsol (solvent) by Gamblin, Black and White oil paint, Palette knife, and Palette (wood, glass or disposable palette paper works for this).
