Including soundbites: SOUNDBITE (English) Donny Osmond - "A lot of people think that it had something to do with the movie, that Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour did, but in fact when you listen to the songs it takes you back somewhere in time between the 70s, 80s and 90s, those are the three decades that I chose songs from. So that's the meaning of the title 'Somewhere In Time'." SOUNDBITE (English) Donny Osmond - "There were many years where I.... I wouldn't use the word hate because it's too harsh a word, I just wanted to get away from the Donny Osmond of the 70s and the 'Puppy Love' era because it was the very thing that was keeping me from progressing. This is my music, listen to this, and they would always play 'Puppy Love'. Finally I guess I got tired of fighting it and embraced it and that thank goodness I did because... I know what it was, when I released 'Soldier Of Love' in the United States and I really wanted people to play my new music they'd always play 'Puppy Love' and they'd say have you brushed your teeth and had a a glass of milk and just take the mickey out of me something fierce and I used to resent it like crazy. Then I figured it out, I'd walk in to the radio station say 'hey where's my tooth brush, give me a glass of milk' and diffuse the situation and then they didn't have anything to talk about." SOUNDBITE (English) Donny Osmond - "I just turned to my producer and said that I would like to do some songs that everyone is familiar with already. Quite interesting because most of my hits from the 70s were covers anyway. 'Puppy Love' was a cover, 'I Knew You When', 'Hey Girl', '12th Of Never', they are all covers. Lets just continue the saga and lets sing some songs that I love and I grew up with and the criteria was let's make sure that the people in the UK know them as well as the States, so they had to be hits in both countries." SOUNDBITE (English) Donny Osmond - "Well there is a market for everything, I'm not going to sit here and say what Christina Aguilera is doing is wrong because it's right for her. It's unfortunate that a lot of people have to sell out to commercialism to make a career. This business is built on gimmicks, it depends on how people use it. The Osmonds were a gimmick in the 70s. These 5 brothers dressed in white suits, it was a gimmick. I think some people take it too far these days, let the music speak."
