神仙沼 ニセコ山系で最も美しい沼

Numerous swamps exist at high elevations in the Niseko mountain range. The beautiful nature is reflected on the surface of the water. Among them, the most beautiful is the mysterious Shinsen-numa with its blue water surface. From early June, we can see the Chinese bellflower and cotton grass, followed in July by crested ibis grass, Japanese iris, and zentai-ka. In August and September, umebachi grass blooms, and in mid-July, nemurokohone blooms in the pond tang. In autumn, along with the autumn leaves, the entire marshland is covered with golden grass and foliage, giving the appearance of a golden carpet. It is said that September through October is the best time to see the beautiful fall colors of the entire marshland. From the parking lot of the Shinsen-numa Natural Recreation Forest Rest Area (Rest House) on Highway 66 (Niseko Panorama Line), it takes about 20 to 30 minutes on foot one way along the trail.
