The incident occurred on the Trans Sulawesi Road, Bila Village, Mattiro Bulu District, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi. The traffic accident involved a yellow minibus with license plate number DP 1614 DG and a white jeep parked on the side of the road. The Head of the Traffic Accident Unit of the Pinrang Police Traffic Unit, First Inspector Harju, confirmed that police are currently processing the crime scene and conducting an in-depth investigation into the incident. Harju explained that the traffic accident began when a white Suzuki Jimny Katana jeep was parked quietly on the side of the highway. Suddenly, a yellow minibus sped from the south toward the north at high speed. "According to information from local residents, the Jimny was parked," Harju said, explaining the initial location of the victim's vehicle. The yellow minibus was traveling straight from Parepare City toward the center of Pinrang City before suddenly losing control. "The yellow one was coming from Parepare toward Pinrang City," he explained, referring to the route of the car involved. According to several eyewitnesses at the scene, the yellow minibus was traveling very fast before crashing into the parked jeep. "According to information from residents at the scene, the yellow car was indeed traveling at high speed," said Harju at the scene of the incident. The force of the impact caused both four-wheeled vehicles to be thrown and plunged into the rice fields on the side of the road. The yellow minibus carrying passengers was thrown into the rice fields on the right side of the highway, while the white jeep plunged into the rice fields on the left side. An eyewitness, Kamaruddin, stated that the yellow minibus had been driving recklessly since passing through Parepare City. Kamaruddin revealed that the yellow minibus had overtaken his car, which was traveling at around 80 kilometers per hour. The yellow minibus, with license plate number DP 1614 DG, was carrying two young couples when the tragic accident occurred. As a result of the heavy impact, the driver and passengers of the yellow minibus suffered injuries to various parts of their bodies. All injured victims were immediately evacuated by local residents to the nearest hospital for intensive medical treatment.
