The Alhambra 阿爾罕布拉宮

This magnificent complex of buildings from the 13th to 15th centuries, built by the Nasrid dynasty, combines exquisite Islamic art, mosques, palaces, and defensive fortifications, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the palace contains outstanding examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture. Tickets are extremely popular because a higher percentage is allocated to tour groups than to independent travelers, which explains the difficulty in obtaining them. Having been under Moorish rule for nearly 800 years, it is the only well-preserved palace in the medieval Islamic world. It is a must-see destination on any trip to southern Spain.
