摩旅入藏Day10｜川藏最高垭口5130米 + 怒江72拐｜路上颠得全身发麻……

June 9th, from Rumei to Basu, was the day with the worst road conditions and the most information since entering Tibet. We set off at 8 am, only to be stuck in traffic for two hours after just half an hour. While waiting, we saw a mountain bike with a flat tire and a CFMoto 800MT with a deformed front wheel, making us realize how important it is to check your bike's condition before setting off. After crossing Dongda Mountain, the highest pass on the southern Sichuan-Tibet Highway at 5130 meters, we surprisingly experienced no altitude sickness. In the afternoon, we descended the Nujiang 72 Bends; the road was terrible and there were many large trucks, taking a full hour. Passing the Nujiang Bridge, we heard the story behind the bridge piers, which was truly heartbreaking. The road conditions were also dangerous while cycling along the Nujiang River, but suddenly, around a bend, we saw a patch of green—villages and barley fields in the valley. We arrived safely in Basu at 4:15 pm, spending 55 yuan on food and lodging. For those planning to ride this section of the 318 National Highway, please be aware of potholes, control your speed, and pay close attention to road conditions. Safety first. Tomorrow I'll travel from Basu to Lulang, crossing the Sejila Mountain and passing through the Lulang Forest.
