Tabletop Book Stand at Home Build

The thrill of being a maker is that you can take something from your imagination and actualize it. I had a very specific need for a stand to sit on my desk as I try to read long-form audio material. Sure, I could have searched the internet to find something that would have sort of worked. But I didn't. Instead, I built exactly what I wanted, and it looks downright stylish too. Let me be clear though, being a maker is not about saving time or money. It took three days of work to do this build, and while I have the good fortune to have amassed a shop of tools and supplies in my garage through various circumstances, the average person would have to spend more time and more money then I did on this build. That which drives a maker is the process and the ownership of making something that is truly yours. This is the biggest video project I have done to date.
