One of Elton John's most mournful songs has to be Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. It comes from the album Blue Moves (1976) which peaked at number 3 in the charts in the US ending a streak of number one albums leading up to this release. The album did, however, spawn a top ten hit which is this very song. The song has been played quite frequently in live situations in every decade since the album's release.
