He was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Bragança Paulista from 1982 to 1984 and has been pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Vitória since 1985. He is also a member of the Brazilian Evangelical Academy of Letters, executive director of Luz para o Caminho, in Campinas, and a collaborating pastor at the Pinheiros Presbyterian Church in São Paulo.
