Who would you be if you left the religious institution you belong to tomorrow? This question may seem uncomfortable, but it reveals something very important: is our identity grounded in Christ or in an institution? In this video, I reflect on how some communities can, without realizing it, allow institutional identity to become stronger than Christian identity itself. We talk about belonging, religious culture, spiritual maturity, freedom of conscience, and the difference between following Jesus and simply reproducing a tradition.
