"Hook & Ladder Hokum" (human) Tom & Jerry Cartoon from 1933 (incomplete)Van Beuren Studios

This is a slightly incomplete 16mm print of this 1933 Van Beuren cartoon (distributed RKO) that begins right after the initial fade-up and has the end title missing. It's a 16mm "studio original" print made on DuPont stock, estimated from around 1948, crudely captured to video with a DSLR camera. Yes, Tom and Jerry are the main characters, and no, they have nothing to do with the cat & mouse duo of the subsequent decade. Van Beuren Studios were active from 1928-1937. Director Frank Tashlin went on to better and funnier things, including Laurel & Hardy pictures, Disney and Warner animation, as well as Doris Day and Bob Hope movies.
