Manchar Lake is the largest lake in Pakistan, in past, the lake was source of income of more than 20,000 fisherman community . Main source of income was fishing. But in 1990s a water project namely Right bank outfall Drain (RBOD) of federal government was introduced to drain out dump water of Balochistan and Sindh Province. Unfortunately, that dump water drained in Manchar lake. After that the Lake became salty slowly, and now Lake is fully contaminated, at present no fishing, no any source of income of fisherman community. local inhabitants has been shifted from the area.
