Mennomex is a Mexican general store located at 49919 Talbot Line in Aylmer Ontario.   / mennomex.ca   In the 1920's many Canadian Old Colony Mennonites migrated to Mexico to avoid conscription. Around the middle of the century many began to return to Canada and there is a large community living in the Aylmer area. When they came back they brought many wonderful Mexican traditions and customs with them including some delicious Mexican cuisine. Not only do they sell fresh local products and ingredients but they also offer a huge variety of imported Mexican and Latin American products. They also have traditional cooking equipment and utensils, a gift shop and a restaurant. I stocked up on some ingredients that I needed for my first attempt at making tacos al pastor on the taco cart. I also grabbed lunch.
