Dyson Ball vs Kirby - Comparing performance of the DC25 to the Avalir 2

For years, I have been cleaning my home with a Dyson Ball DC25 vacuum. Recently, I purchased a Kirby Avalir 2. I decided the first use of the Kirby could be a comparison test where I clean a shaggy area rug with both vacs and see if there is a difference.
