Her days are a race against time. Every morning, before leaving for work, Audrey wakes her children at 6 a.m. to take them to her parents' house. They babysit until school starts. In France today, nearly one and a half million women raise their children alone. Almost all of them juggle schedules and struggle to make ends meet. With her two children, Nathalie, 33, lives below the poverty line. Like half of single mothers, she regularly finds herself in overdraft at the end of the month.
