An Un-A-peeling Tacoma
We're going to refinish This ugly duckling guitar and reveal it's hidden beauty! In the mid 90's, Tacoma experimented with waterbourne, UV cured finishes. The technology was new and long term durability issues were yet unkown. The finish was also sprayed way too thick on top of a sealer coat and the adheasion failed miserably over time. Since then I have seen many similar finish issues with these otherwise nicely made, beautiful guitars.
