What Billy Bishop Expansion Could Mean for South Etobicoke
At the June 11, 2026 Planning and Housing Committee meeting, Councillor Amber Morley questioned City staff on the proposed Billy Bishop Airport expansion and what it could mean for South Etobicoke residents. The discussion raised key concerns around expanded flight paths, increased flights, noise, air quality, housing impacts, waterfront communities, and traffic congestion on Lake Shore Boulevard West and the Gardiner. Staff also confirmed that the City has not received a detailed expansion plan. South Etobicoke residents deserve clear answers, real consultation, and a full understanding of the local impacts before major decisions are made. https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-i... https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2026/p...
