12K Stack Train, 12 Locomotives
This clip features two BNSF trains at Park Moabi, CA along BNSF's Seligman Subdivision just east of Needles, CA. First off, a westbound 12,000' Stack train passes by with two DP remote consists. The entire train is shown. Next, an eastbound manifest train with 12 locomotives passes through. The first three locomotives are the ones actually powering the train, the rear 9 have been in storage at Barstow, CA and are heading back to Kansas. Whether they will be reactivated or just moving to a new storage location is unknown.
