This walk takes you through the nature-rich suburban area of Chofu, from Tsutsujigaoka Station to the vicinity of Jindaiji Temple. Please enjoy it for daily relaxation or as a virtual travel experience to feel the atmosphere of Tokyo. ーーー 【Video Overview】 Starting from Tsutsujigaoka Station on the Keio Line, the walk begins through the station's front shopping street. Shortly after, you will enter the Koshu Kaido, one of the five major highways of the Edo period, and visit Itsukushima Shrine and Shibasaki Inari Shrine via a side road. Both are serene local shrines deeply rooted in the community, offering a tranquil atmosphere. Leaving the shrines, the route continues through a quiet residential area to Uenohara Park, characterized by its varied terrain. In the park, you can see local children playing, surrounded by a peaceful landscape of fields and houses. The scenery gradually becomes greener as you enter the forest-like Jindaiji Natural Park. After passing through the park and alongside the Chofu City Wild Grass Garden, which preserves the flora of the Musashino region, the path goes under the Chuo Expressway. This provides a distinctive Chofu scene where urban infrastructure and nature coexist.
